Art and Minnesota's economy

Two McKnight-funded reports investigate the roles individual artists and arts organizations play in Minnesota's economy.

Artists Count: The Economic Impact of Minnesota's Individual Artists is a statewide study conducted by lead organizations Minnesota Citizens for the Arts (MCA), Springboard for the Arts, and the Minnesota Crafts Council (MCC), in partnership with Americans for the Arts, and was primarily funded by The McKnight Foundation.

The Arts: A Driving Force in Minnesota's Economy is one of twelve statewide and regional studies conducted by Minnesota Citizens for the Arts (MCA) and the Forum of Regional Arts Councils of Minnesota (FRACM) in partnership with Americans for the Arts. This project was primarily funded by The McKnight Foundation. Additional partners include the Twin Cities Performing Arts Research Coalition funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts, and Minnesota Arts Communicators.
