The Minnesota Chamber Foundation released a report titled, “The Economic Contributions of Immigrants in Minnesota.” The report highlights contributions made as consumers, human capital, and taxpayers. It finds that immigrants connect the state to the world’s economy through entrepreneurship and expertise in key industries. Over time, immigrants are upwardly mobile, rising out of poverty, and experiencing increased employment and homeownership rates.
The report includes firsthand accounts from immigrant entrepreneurs and employers whose businesses thrive because of immigrant employees.
