Val Moeller originally joined McKnight in 1990 as a grants assistant. She left the foundation in 1998 to spend more time with her young daughter. In June 2024, she returned to McKnight as a senior program and grants associate supporting cross-programmatic work. In this role, she provides grantmaking and additional funding expertise and support, assists with system administration of McKnight’s grantmaking databases, and supports the grants payment process.
Val has more than 30 years of experience in grants administration and database systems, having worked with several foundations throughout the metro area as a consultant and contractor. In 2011, she joined H.B. Fuller as grants administrator, a role she held for 12 years. She is very excited to be back at McKnight, where she began her career in philanthropy.
Val enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, live music, and spending time with friends and family.
